We have established a “Coaches Selection Committee” to select coaches for the upcoming 2011 season. The committee is composed of Executive Board Members and the District President. All those interested in coaching this year, including 2010 coaches, will be required to fill out the online application below by January 1, 2011. Coaches will then be asked to meet with the “Coaches Selection Committee” for a brief interview in February.
Please remember that we are all volunteers serving the youth of our community and that the committee will choose coaches with the best interest of our players in mind. We encourage anyone with an interest in coaching in the league to apply. All interested will have an equal opportunity to apply and be interviewed. Present or past service as a coach or a member of the Hillcrest Board of Directors does not guarantee that you will be selected for a coaching position.
The criterion for selecting coaches will be based on but not limited to:
Experience as a coach or assistant coach League involvement Quality of team plan and organization Ability to interact and communicate with players, parents, and league officials Understanding and adherence to the Ute Conference and Hilllcrest bylaws and rules.
This system is designed to give all applicants including new coaches an opportunity to coach in the program.
